āRetired?ā
Oh no, my friendāI didnāt retire⦠I rewired.
Iāve been busier than a mosquito at a nudist colony:
ā Teaching students and colleagues how to laugh without getting detention.
ā Educating minds, enlightening hearts, and occasionally confusing people with my metaphors.
ā Playing tennis 3ā4 times a week like Iām training for Wimbledonāminus the trophy and with more groaning.
ā Spreading smiles, one lip at a time. (Yes, I do both sides. Iām fair like that.)
I donāt believe in retirement.
To me, retirement is what happens when I stop breathingā
and even then, I might try stand-up at the pearly gates.
Life after retirement isnāt about slowing downā¦
Itās about finally doing what you love without someone calling a staff meeting.
So yeah, Iāve been living, laughing, and occasionally limpingā
but never, ever retiring.
